The 2025 vintage<\/strong> certainly looks like a very good one<\/strong>, to quote the famous movie, especially from the health point of view<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Spring, which coincides with the first phase of the productive part of the plants, was smooth making few treatments necessary.<\/p>\n\n

If you are up to date with the weather conditions in our area in recent months, you will know that they have been optimal, even in early September.<\/p>\n\n

Let’s see how some of Brazzan’s Simon varieties made it to the 2025 harvest.<\/h3>\n\n

In early September, the Traminer<\/strong> grapes were still maintaining excellent health, as were the Pinot Blanc<\/strong> and Sauvignon<\/strong>, three varieties that also make up the blend of the Ri-n\u00e9 blanc<\/em><\/strong>, a blend that a few days ago was also awarded Top Wine status<\/em> by Slow Wine 2026 for the 2023 vintage.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Malvasia<\/strong> is also a variety that has certainly benefited from climatic favor this year, especially compared to last year, which was characterized by a great deal of rainfall and significant falls especially at the flowering stage. <\/p>\n\n

The 2025 enjoyed fairly steady production and maturation.<\/p>\n\n

Positive year for Pinot Grigio<\/strong> as well. In September, the grapes arrived healthy and made their way to the winery in joy for winemaking! <\/p>\n\n

We will succeed again this year in producing the much-loved Tradizi\u00f2n<\/strong><\/em>, thus the macerated Pinot Grigio<\/strong><\/em> for which it is necessary that the grapes reach an excellent level of health precisely because maceration must take place in about 20-25 days. <\/p>\n\n

As for Friulano<\/strong>, it is an interesting vintage. <\/p>\n\n

The fear was that the rains in early September would weaken the grape skins, but Daniele Drius’ experience led to the realization that leaving the plants somewhat water-deprived in mid-August, when they would need to be irrigated, would instead make them indispensable without negatively interfering with the health of the grapes.<\/p>\n\n

All that remains is to finalize the harvest, proceed with vinification and wait patiently for the passage of winter to taste the first fruits in glasses in early spring 2026.<\/p>\n\n
